Balance

I love to run. That's all there is to it. But it can be hard to find the balance between increasing miles and enjoying the sport I love and preventing injury. Any suggestions about upping mileage without blowing out your knees would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Take your time to build mileage. I've been trying to get back to marathon distance - and I will. This October, I made the big decision to delay the November 26.2 because I was started to feel like I was cramming for an exam and worried about injury. I'm almost 50 and don't want to get injured at this point in my running.

  2. Thanks Cynthia. It is so hard to know when to push with pain-especially with knees & shins. Good luck to you!

  3. My best advice would be to look up knee strenghtning exercises. Those can help alot.
